What I did on my summer vacation!

This Little female Ambanja escaped from a make shift sun cage on May 16th! I just found her on September 10th!!

She has survived in the wild and has grown from 1 1/2" stv to almost 4" stv! In the time she was on hiatus she has seen temps from 39 deg. to 104 deg. One thunderstorm had wind gusts of 80 MPH! This summer here in southeast Ohio has been very hot and dry with 10-14 days between rains but she has somehow found water.

As you can see she looks very healthy.

She was 30 feet from where she escaped. I was checking on my parsons in a maple tree and saw a white looking leaf that turned out to be her in a full shed

That's amazing! Where did you find her? There must be a certain radius that Panther Chameleons stick to. With the two recent cases, you would assume that they've been in your neighborhood the entire time.

She's beautiful by the way! I'm sure you are going to do this, but I would definitely do a de-wormer on her. Does anyone else see that squiggly line on her belly? Could that be a parasite, or just a bruise from her hiatus?

That line just looks like a scratch to me. Todnedo takes amazing care of his animals so I dont think we need to fill him in on what to do with them!

I feed all my cham wild bugs all summer long. In the fall when the bugs die off I test and treat them for parasites.
