I train a friend to come over every other or every 2 days to feed them, empty drainage buckets and fill mist king bucket w water. Lights and mist king are on a timer so those are set.
Depends on the length of time I'm away. If I'm gone under 5 days I just leave them home alone with their misting system. If it's over I will have someone come over every 2-3 days to feed and empty/refill the misting system.
Edited to Add - The above applies if I have adult chameleons that don't need to eat daily, which right now I do. If I left them without food for 5 days they wouldn't notice. If I had a small, young chameleon I wouldn't leave it unattended longer than a 2-3-day weekend, for example.

Yep I'm gearing up to "train" a pal who actually volunteered for this task!! I guess I consider myself lucky I even reminded her and kept asking "Are you sure?" "You know you also have to feed a few hundred bugs?!" She's still in…but we shall see how the training goes, lol! Im going to be a nervous wreck since I will be on the other side of the country for a week!
If I'm gone for less than a week, I drop like 20 crix in the cage and put about 15 super worms in a feeder cup and let the mister and timers handle the rest. If a week or more, my friend takes care of things. He's got reptiles too so we just do it free of charge back and forth. ;P
