Please fill out the "how to ask for help" questions so we can help. Not nearly enough info right now! OK, the pet store probably didn't care for her properly but we need to know what YOU do and how long you've had her. It takes a while for a cham to respond to changes in care. First guess right off is: dehydration and lack of UV lighting.

BTW, if you purchased this cham you did not really "rescue" it...the store got rewarded to buy and torture another one.

If the Senegal has a weak tongue you need to find out why and correct the issue and then use the proper husbandry to keep it there.

The tongue could be weak for several reasons such as injury, hydration, improper nutrient balance, infection, etc.

i did actually rescue it becouse i had a talk with the store keeper and made him realize that they did not know how to care for chameleons..and i told them if they wanted to seel chams just put a sign up and let people come to you and tht wayu can order ,,,and when the cham comes in it will have someone to take it home to care for properly. at the pet shop it ddnt correct basking zone and well uvb was was low as well ..now i have the repti glow 5.0 coil bulb and a 75 watt basking bulb...12 hour cycles and currently supplementing with repti cal..with d3..they never fed it any calcium or vitamins so im guessing it is low in d3 due to poor uvb as well... i m also going to switch to repti cal w no d3 today..and give d3 evry 2 weeks..

Buying a chameleon and "educating" the shop about how to care for them still doesn't quite qualify as rescuing...

i felt bad for the owner becouse he ddnt want to give it away but he knew it was bad..

That's great. To "thank" him, I think I'd nurture him a bit...be a customer and help him learn. You could end up with a decent place to give your business to.
