Want to repaint room, will it effect my cham

I want to repaint the room my cham is in... right now its off white/tan... I want to paint it charcoal with white trim as well as 1 dark charcoal almost black accent wall which will be across from the chameleon's cage on the opposite side of the room. Will this effect his behavior? I wear black shirts most of the time and his reptarium has black pvc tubing with dark black mesh but just wanted to double check this first.

I would make sure you have great lighting first! The darker walls could minimize the amount of secondary light that gets into the enclosure. (dark colors absorb more light) If there is plenty of light from the rest of the room, then it shouldn't be a problem. I would however suggest to hang up a dark sheet on that wall and see if there is any change in behavior. That way you don't waste time repainting afterwards! And as always, try to use low VOC paint to minimize paint fumes.
