Success! Walker finally went and conquered the hissing roach. This dude was a tad bigger than I realized and it took him awhile to gulp it down.

Thanks! Yeah, this was my 1st attempt at shooting the "shot"! I pushed the dang button too quick! Arrrgghhhh! I wasn't really expecting him to go for the hisser, but he raced over as soon as I placed it onto the screen. Tada! Instant variety!

nah, i googled it... "safe for reptiles and fish",,, the reason i asked was it looks like the wood my husband sells at his Aquaria store.... i like the look of it in Walkers cage!!!!! no worries!!!!!!

Thanks so much! I haven't had luck with these my guys eating dubia. I thought I'd throw a hisser in to see what's up. I guess they like food from the "motherland"! lol

Just checked my hisser bin and I don't see very many 1/4 to 1/2 size nymphs. They're either itty bitty nymphs or monsters! Hope Walker doesn't become too addicted!

Yeah, that would have been a good one to capture "the shot". It's tough for sure, especially since you must rely quite a bit on luck. That's a big ol' meal. I've fed Geoffery a few adult Dubias and those are quite the mouthful, but not as much as hissers of course.
