Veiled or Senegal

Im going to Noblesville this weekend to pick out my next little guy and I havent decided if I want a veiled or a senegal. My last cham was a veiled but I am starting to like the look and size and feel of the senegal. Does anyone have any suggestions of key decision making factors I dont know about?:)

care is pretty similar and the Senegal requires less space. but since most Senegals are wild caught testing and treating parasites could be quite expensive.

I got my Senegal chameleon for 50 $ and he was born here where I live, in Albuquerque. It is not as active as my veiled, but I am very happy with him.

Great point. I suggest going with a captive bred chameleon.

I heard there were some reeaal nice africanus in the classifieds...

Inexpensive, care is similar to both of those, aannd they're CB ;)

I am looking for a harty species that has similar care to the Veiled. I do understand that captive bread is where it is at and my first cham was captive. I'm really excited to have a cham back in my cage. After the last guy left I've been missing him. I'm leaning toward Senegal right now!

I just bought a Senegal and was very surprised. He was advertised as CB but iv heard that many people sell wild caught Senegals as CB so really I don't know if he is but he is incredibly people friendly. I've only had him for a couple days and he already prefers to be with me then in his cage or anywhere else. I recommend Senegals just be aware of the risk of getting a wild caught Cham
