veiled or pygmy chameleon

If you dont want to spen much then get a pygmy but if you have a high budget choose what you like best

Their setups and husbandry are very different! Depending on how elaborate your pygmy setup needs to be for your climate and house situation (roomy tank, live plants, terrarium substrates, temp, humidity and lighting controls, UV lighting, terrarium maintenance, less common tiny feeders, etc) it could not necessarily be less than maintaining a larger simple homemade screen setup for a veiled. Sure the animals don't cost the same as individuals. Also, just about all pygmies are imports and because of their delicacy they are harder to treat for health problems too.

I just depends on what you want and are willing to care for. Veiled chameleons are larger, generally require more room, are more solitary, live longer, can usually be handled more often, can be hand fed, etc. Pymies are smaller, dont live as long, require much smaller (and sometimes harder to get) feeders, shouldn't really be handled, can really be hand fed, can be housed together, etc.
