hi im new to the forums and im in need of some info. ive had my male veiled chameleon for about a month now and he is three and a half months old.but ever since i have had him (which i took from someone who only fed and watered him 3 times a week) hes been this constant brown and green spotty color and i am worried about him. idk if he is stressed or if he is sick. he loves to eat out of my hand and eats all the crickets i give him. but he also dowsnt like climbing onto my hand when there isnt food. he hisses. i only handle him once a week if he lets me. his set up is very basic because this is what his old owner had for him. ive recently added the pathos plants and more vine. if you guys have any idea why he is always showing these colors other than the bright green he shows at night please let me know. thank you. Looks like a pretty normal juvenile to me. Veileds normally do show that brighter, lighter green color while asleep.

okay i wasnt so sure. my sisters veiled is almost always green so thats why i was concerned.

Depends on the age. Younger juveniles tend to be greener. As they mature they can go through a browner phase, then get their adult colors at around a year.
