We have a Female Veiled Chameleon that almost never changes color. We have had her for about 3 months now, she has grown from 3 inches (body not including tail) to about 5 1/2 inches (once again body only). She seems to always stay this bright dayglow/ lime green color. When we take her out of her cage ( we have a 24"x24"x48" reptibreeze for her) she likes to sit on our head or hand but always stays a bright green, should I be worried?

I'm new to the chameleon world and I do know the male veiled's have more color then the females and I know they have different kind of veiled's I believe (meaning breeders will breed for certain colors) maybe your female is just an average female veiled and will only be green. Like I said i'm no expert and just a thought.

Those are good colors, its when they go gray spots and dark that they are stressed. Otherwise female veileds are not AS colorful as Males, but they are beautiful creatures :)

females dont change colors much.
she may become varying shades of green, and when she hits sexual maturity, she will develop orange/brown/blue/teal spots. but for the most part, what you see is what you get.
