Ugh!! Just pisses me off!!

well my cousin is asking how he would pay for after bringing in the cham and since I've never been to the vet in a long time, anyone know whats the way of payment? ex. billing, etc

It's different with every vet around here, I used to go to a reptile specialist, that was about 30$ for a visit i think. But then the specialist is expensive, I don't know whta the prices are in US, I'm from The Netherlands. I know someone who studied medicine and has chams too, mostly I can get medicines form him and mostly he knows how to threat so I don't go to a vet anymore.

I usually just pay cash when I go. It's kinda like your co-pay at the doctors except you pay the whole thing since chameleons aren't under your blue cross blue shield, though that would be amazing :) It never ran me over $45(unless I was having fecals and blood tests done) Just a visit to correct a problem should be no more then $60 and thats like a cham vet in Hollywood. Lol. Good Luck!

P.S. Is your jackson's wild caught in hawaii/bought froma pet shop that collected them locally on maui? When I was there about 9 years ago I was under the impression I could bring nothing living back, however the guy at the airport said they would have been fine with it(even though I still think it's illegal,I think he was a pothead though so it didn't seem like he really cared at all). I was pissed too because I could have caught me a whole colony or bought a bunch. At a petshop on the northside of maui off the road to hana they were like $13 each and they had a giant screened cage full of them. I felt so bad for them :(

Mate I have to say, the bottom line is that it's YOUR lizard, and therefor YOUR responsibility, regardless other folks attitude. You spoke of flying down there, so if your so concerned, fly already.
Having pets there and living/working elsewhere, expecting others to care for them is obviously an unworkable situation for you.
No problem ever got solved by complaining on the internet or blaming others for your predicament.
You have been given sound advice, offered money, and you still whine nobody wants to help me?
Grab your shirt with your left hand, then extend your right as far as it will go, and slap yourself silly!
This thread is beginning to piss me off! Grow up, is it AROWANA MAN or Arowana boy?

Well its decided I will be taking a flight back to HI. So I'll be on to the airport in 8 hours and then through an 5 hour flight.

I am very glad to hear you are taking action. I believe in the saying 'if you want something done, do it yourself!'

Please keep us informed of what happens next and good luck with him:)

thanks everyone and yes right now I'm in Hawaii brought him to the vet this morning. He looks like he will recover but its just a matter of time to wait and see the results in action. I'll be staying in Hawaii till he gets better and I've decided to take him with me, along with my other pets. (Thats gonna cost a lot)

Really glad the chameleon will recover! Glad also you've been able to take care of the situation yourself and that you have decided to take your animals with you rather then leave them and except people who dont care about them to take care of your responsibilities as a pet owner for you.

AROWANA MAN has since flown to Hawaii to care for his chameleon and take it and others into his care. I applaud the effort and expense he has undertaken to do the logical, though more difficult thing, and wish him the best and his chameleon a full recovery.
Well done mate! :)

Can you give us a little detail? What was actually wrong with it, what did the vet say, prescribe etc. How has it been behaving/eating/drinking since and so on.

I don't think 2 grams is much to lose but as you are worried you could feed him up with a few wax worms. These are fatty and should be fed as a treat item but I think they work brilliantly for underweight chameleons.
