I just got a colony of Turkish roaches (blatta lateralis) set up. They are extremely poor at climbing, are not supposed to bury through substrate, and cannot fly. To confirm, the males are supposed to be able to glide.
They are quite fast, so I would highly recommend feeding from a smooth sided feeding cup if you have a substrate layer in your terrarium. They lay egg cases which are easy to spot. Apparently being egg layers they also reproduce faster than livebearers. There are many sizes available if you get a colony going.
If anyone within a reasonable distance would like some in a few weeks, drop me a pm. I'll gladly give away some adults. My xanths seem to prefer the smaller ones.
