Tropic Aire troubles

So I've had my little Flap necked for just over a week now & he seems to be doing well. Eating well, drinking, basking, good sleep schedule.

Bought the tropic Aire humidifier, which got great reviews on Amazon. However, once I got it up & running, all it did was pour water into the bottom of the cage. It was flooded instantly.

Before I send it back, is there anyone who uses this who can offer advice?
I'd love a recommendation for a basic misting system, or is a dripper enough?

Misting is important because it gets them in the mood to drink. I use the Mistking. They make a basic system. It runs about $99.00. They are also a site sponsor.

Oh. One more question; do I need a humidifier if I plan to mist him every few hours?

I use the monsoon mister. No dripper and no hand spraying.

Mistking is the way to go IMO. That's what I use with great success
