tongue trouble after vet visit...

Best of luck tomorrow. I too was hoping that he could "sleep it off". Who knows, maybe it is sprained like someone suggested and just needs a bit more time to heal. Fingers are crossed for both of you at the vet's tomorrow!

Massive improvement today! Yayy! ... He went abit downhill last night and seemed very weak and uncoordinated (spell check) but with patience and support he managed to feed.. A lot! By scooping... Locusts don't need legs anyway! And thismornin Im happy to inform he's shooting everywhere :-D tongue does look a little bruised?? If that's possible! But he's now whizzing round the viv and looking much stronger!
Iv cancelled todays vet visit.. I'm going to keep a close eye on him.. Don'twant to put him through anything unnessacerily.
Thankyou everybody :-D this place is awesome for support, our little doods are so lucky!

Been reading your posts and I am so happy your little guy is better.
I was keeping my fingers crossed :)

Next time, if you go to the same vet, you may want to help with the mouth
opening and let the vet put the meds in.
Sounds like this vet needs to work on his "bed side manner" ;)

I am so happy for you and your boy. If that vet had done any real trouble to your cham, i would have wanted to thrash him. Good thing you are across the pond. A bruise will go away, and I know you are there to watch and care for him so all should be better now. Let me know how he is doing for the next few days at least. I like to make sure all is really back to normal.

He's all back to normal now :)
His appetite is bit less then normal but he's about five months now and due a.shed so hopefully its just that..

My guy is at the excotic vet now and they are hand feeding him and I wonder how this will affect him long term? They are saying his problem (kidney failure) is from under supplementing, he is a jacksons, and not dehydration? Which goes against everything I have read. I hope they know what they are doing!
