Does anyone have any tips and tricks for owning a panther chameleon or a veiled chameleon? I might be getting one of those breeds after quarantine is over.

Ok! Thank you!Follow the husbandry that is given by people on this forum...supplements, proper lighting, temperatures, methods of watering, feeding/gutloading, etc.
Most people say get a male because you don't have to worry about egglaying/reproductive issues.
Panthers usually have a bit better disposition than veileds.
Hopefully others will chime in.
I have made 2 7 page essays on chameleons!Whichever you get, make sure to research all you can about it. Besides the forum, a great place to learn is chameleonacademy.com

I once heard that when it comes to temperament veiled are extreme and panthers are more well balanced. Veiled will be either VERY hostile, VERY friendly, or VERY shy. (That's what I heard, anyway!)
I heard that Panthers were more friendly than Veiled. And that female panthers are the same as veiled. ?Hmm... These are exactly the opposite of what I've heard in videos on YT. I've always heard & read that veiled are more friendly, and panthers more shy & standoffish, or aggressive.
I hope others DO chime in on this question, either to clear up any misconceptions or validate that the little buggers are all individuals.![]()
