thermometer amd hygrometer

All three. you need to know the readings of all three places. i mainly keep the thermometer by the basking spot and I move it to check the other spots of the cage. for the hydrometer I keep that more in the middle to get a more accurate reading because at the top the bulb drys everything out and it will read low.

Yah I agree put the hydrometer in the middle, and get a infrared temp gun that way you can check any part of the cage including the skin on your cham in an instant. You can pick them up pretty cheap on E-bay.
