Govee temp/hygrometers?

The probe is inside. I have one inside the cage at the floor (away from where it can be sprayed with mist) and one outside the cage to monitor temps in the overall room. You still need to have a way to measure temps at the basking branch separately.

I've had this version for over a year and had to replace the battery once but they're still going strong.

I had another model previously but it kicked the bucket because my cage setup put it in the line of mist king fire.

The Govee humidity is dead on unlike most that can be +-20%. I did this test at work using my two models of govee and a $1000 calibrated humidity meter(electronics dont like getting stored in Floridian conditions).

I run two govee sensors in my enclosure. They do need to be placed totally away from being sprayed. I have only had to replace the battery. They work really well. Works with an app on your phone. You can name them and then click into them to see what temp and humidity was at any point in the day. I use their smart plugs as well and they also run on the app.

govee seems decent only issue is that you need to always be refreshing to see the graph.. you also have to be close, maybe its just mines but im getting a other one to see if its the same.

They are a great addition, I like them cause you can see ( if using one a fogger that is ) the best / coolest time of the night to have it on .

Agreed they can get a little wet. Only one that went bad was wet so often
that the battery contacts rusted.

I use one in my cage and I love it. I have it hanging off a branch in the middle section or a little lower, out of the spray range and it’s been great and I’ve had it for over a year now. The battery compartment is getting a little crusty so it must have gotten wet at one time but it’s still working.

Lol there's no such thing as out of spray range for Pelli, he rearranges them while I sleep!

What specific ones do you use? I want to update what I am using because I dont like the ones I currently have. I'd love something that works over wifi so I can check temps from work or when I am on vacation as well.

Govee WiFi Hygrometer Thermometer Sensor 3 Pack, https://a.co/d/eSvxJ3S
I got this on prime day and I got little Velcro dots to put them in. I have top, middle, bottom set up. I had gotten this other one before and I’m still using it
ORIA Indoor Outdoor Thermometer, Digital Hygrometer Thermometer with 3 Wireless Sensors https://a.co/d/0niMacJ
I have the sensor in same areas but opposite the Govee and then I velcroed the read out onto the top panel so when I walk by or I’m just staring at her, I can see what’s going on without pulling up my phone.

I am using these. They're supposedly VERY accurate (within around 0.1 - 0.3f) for temperature and "pretty accurate" (within like 3-5%) for humidity.

I have 3 of these in my enclosure and I've been relying on them. I may add something else next to these soon just to check for discrepancies but so far everything has been good in my enclosure. They're also very water resistant. They can be sprayed.

However, being sprayed likely causes them to give off a higher humidity (IMO. unverified).

I have the second ones you shared. My issue with those is I have 4 enclosures and the sensors are all syncing to the wrong screen. I’ve reset them all twice and it’s happened again so I’m just giving up and getting something else.

Great price too. Considering it's amazon they're worth just getting and then checking for accuracy. They're a few inches tall but they come with nice lanyard to hang from pretty much anywhere. They're awesome

Oh no! That would make it so frustrating. I hope you can find something that works

I use the govee bluetooth ones. IF they ever die I wanna buy the wifi version that @Throwingstones linked for you. Same rules with these ones do not put them in a direct spray path or fogging path. They have a little hook on them I take of the string thing and run a small zip tie through it to hook it to the branches.

Inkbird I heard was a decent brand too and they have the same thing basically.

Yeah I am not familiar with that one. I like the govee ones just because I have the wifi plugs from them as well and everything runs off one app. But the bluetooth sensors suck and only will update data to the app if I am home.
