Had a cracker of a shoot yesterday and got some real beauties of everyone but I thought seeing as my favorite little girl won the contest yesterday I'd share the best ones I got of her.
I think she has retained sperm from her last mating and is now in her moody, post "fat enough to pop" stage so showing this colour most of the day. The weather has also been ideal for basking i.e. lots of sun and a nice onshore breeze keeping everything cool.
Technically I'm most chuffed that I finally managed to get her true colour on a straight digital shot which I've been struggling to do. I'm a purist in that I don't like my photos that need post processing. Both of these were taken in direct sunlight and have no post other than cropping and sizing so they fit to web. Check the colour in the second one! I'll post the babies in a day or so.
