What kind of "tank"? ideally they should be housed in a screen enclosure because they need good ventilation, and if it is glass he may be getting too hot and stressed out if the ambient is not much lower than the basking temp.
Here fill this out for us so we can help you find what could be causing your boy stress =)

Placement - I have the tank in my room because that is the quietest room in the house with 4 kids!
Location -I live in Texas
Current Problem - He seems to be dark more than usual & nothing has changed in the past 3 days to cause him stress on my part...this is my first cham so ive been worried..when i take him out he turns lighter and seems to like being out more than in the tank..i plan on having him a screen cage built asap..his eating is still okay..and ive seen him drink and use the bathroom..just this color that bothers me
The temps are too low and humidity is to high, you need to get him to a better enclosure.
Also he needs suplements. Calcium every day, D3 and multivitamin twice a month.
you can also put the basking light lower but be careful not to get your cham burned. If it's possible take the mesh out for better ventilation. And you REALLY need a proper enclosure asap!
