Surprise xanth birth! assistance needed

thank goodness. good luck with them. maybe some pics when he can take some. i might like to get one off him sometime. he is close enough to drive instead of freaking shipping lol

omg look how cute. lol. i have never gotten babies before. there so tiny. ps pets mart also has fruit flies. you said he got her at a petsmart

so tiny!

and he got her at petsmart... like 3-4 months ago! haha.

and he got her in NY. hes in PA for family right now.

I'm really not surprised, to be honest, my local Petco has only just started selling Jacksons, usually it's just the cage of tiny Veileds, but they had a pair of adult Jacksons this week, both adults. Just asking for trouble, I think! Eggs are a lot easier to 'euthanise' for an inexperienced beginner than raising or rehoming newborns. Can you imagine the stink if they sold any of their other live-bearing animals heavily pregnant?!

The babies are super adorable! The only concern is the basking light and them being so close to it. How many watts is it and how hot is it getting?

That was in their mama's cage ... got them out and in their own cage shortly after they were born .

I had to laugh ... as I was getting them out of mama's cage and into their own cage , I had the door to their cage open . After about the fourth one , I turned around to put number 5 in and one was already outside of the cage crawling across the top !!! I was like " Heeeeey ... get back here !! " and put it back in ... lol .
