A friend of mine's female xanth just had babies.

So far seems to be 5 or 6 and counting.

ive already told him to get a rubbermaid tub and put some plants and sticks in it, to remove the babies from the mom's cage.

We are going to hunt down fruit flies and micro crickets, unfortunatly, they wil lhave to be shipped.

So,, what now???

This was a totally unexpected birth. it appears she was prego before he got her from his local petsmart.

So... help would be greatly appreciated!

to bad you dont live near us. i would give you some freshly hatched mill worms to start with till you could get crickets and fruit flies. i have some baby mills that are only a cm long or less. they could be perfect

i am in indiana pa. have you heard of IUP. i live about 5 min away from it. its about an hour and a half from pittsburgh. you can have them for free if you can get here to get them. i dont need them they were an acccident

give me a sec. ill look it up. for the baby chams i might be able to meet ya somewhere if its kinda far. idk give me 2 min ill get a map

its 3 hours and 15 min. ill make you a deal if your up for it. there are prob only like between 30 and 50 but that will get you started. i could maybe meet your friend halfway somewhere. eventhough thats a lot of gas. but i wouldnt want the little guys to not get fed. maybe we could work something out

ruffly trying to count i would say there is atleast 50. but im not totally sure. there small and hiding in the food

haha ok.

Hes seeing if there are any petcos around him that have bugs too. since its a bit of a drive.

Worst case would be to put strained baby meat on the little mouths. That is a lotttttt of work, i would do the drive first if it were me.

omg look how cute. lol. i have never gotten babies before. there so tiny. ps pets mart also has fruit flies. you said he got her at a petsmart
