Superworm beetles safe

One of the superworms I had in my Cham's enclosure has suddenly turned into a beetle! Are they safe for him to eat?

i had a bad experience with a beetle in general. Jackson choked on it.... and died. personally, i think they are too hard.... dont know about super worm beetles though.... I wouldn't chance it myself, but every one has opinion....

I don't feed them but I have seen chameleons eat them and they were fine. My daughter had an old Cham that would barely eat anymore and I saw him shoot and eat a super worm beetle and my daughter didn't think he could shoot anymore.

I feel like superworm beetles are too big and hard possibly (difficult to digest?), but mealworm beetles may be a little safer for a cham to consume?

I've heard these beetles can excrete a powerful stink. When I asked about this same thing I was told that they taste bad and my chameleon would be likely to spit it out. I didn't end up taking a chance.
