Suggestions needed for long term absence

It looks like I will be leaving the country for a few months starting sometime between late May and July (returning October) and I have a beautiful 8 month old Panther. Problem is that I just moved to the NY area so don't really know anybody well enough to ask to come over daily and my wife is going with me.

How do people normally deal with long term absences and their chameleons?

Maybe you can find someone here on the forums that lives in your area that would be willing to keep him for you.

I was kind of hoping for that but when I did a search through the threads I didn't really see any history of that here.

Where do you live in NY? Place a tread in the Classified section under Wanted and maybe the lizard lounge too
