cage looks great spencer.
I've got the cabinet base of my cage finished and am now piecing together the cage (well when I get off work tonight). I've got to put the frame together, door, and foam rocks... then mistking coming in soon.
I've got a plastic panel (plastex? I think it is called) That I'm going to use as the basin of the cage with some wood shims around the edges to give it an inward slope to the drain. My plans have it formed for the basin and then the same piece running up the back of cage behind the foam for added support.
I'm using aluminum window screen to keep the crickets in, even though I will be cup feeding -- and, also, partly to support against other creatures who may try to get in. I'm planning on getting some plastic netting for climbing the sides to help protect his nails. Still haven't uploaded pictures of the cage yet - lol - but I do have some.
The foam rocks will be covered by some Mocha colored grout - the same grout that I'm using for the ceramic tiles that my wife chose for the top of the base. It looks really good so far and the base is very stable - no worries about collapsing if a plant is too heavy - lol. The base has two storage doors where I can keep two 5 gallon buckets (1 for mister, 1 for drainage) and possibly shelving below or above to keep feeders - though I think I'll keep them seperate. There are, also, two drawers to keep other supplies (temp gun, suppliments, hand sanitizers, etc.) with the drainage running between the two drawers. The cage size is 28"w x 24"d x 48"t with the base being 36"w x 24"d x 35"t .. needless to say it's a tall setup
