Splitting a 260 gal Reptarium for 2nd Vieled!?!?

I recently got a 260 gal reptarium for my female Vieled (Osang 10 Months old) She isnt much of a wonderer. The cage is really large, and I was wondering if any one has ever partitioned off half the cage for a second chameleon. Im interesting in purshasing a male vield to possibly breed at a later date. The cage is 30"x30"x72, which if split would be 15" wide 30" deep and remain 72" tall. I am interested in your opinions. The material of the partition would obviously need to be some sort of solid curtain as the two would need to be seperate to prevent any unwanted stress. LLL has males that are roughly 6"-8" which id say would be around 4-5 months old, and be the best bet. Any info on this idea would be great. Thanks in advance.

My 6 month almost female veiled loves to wander, she has a bunch of arbutus, and 2 ficus's

She likes to climb on the one, but its not high enough right now, and she likes to be high up.. so im waiting for it to grow bigger, so the bottom half of her cage is unused - but the plants catch most of the water, and there growing in there for her

Here are some pic's of a 260 I split in two that I keep in my office room. Top and bottom. The Bottom has a Bearded Dragon, Top some of my baby Jacksons. I like the split, but I personally would feel It a bit small for larger Chameleons.
How split: Used a piece of Plywood cut to outside dimension size, with 5/8 drilled holes at each corner to accommodate the corner posts. This plywood sits on the natural cage middle support tubes. and I used regular thumb tacks to pin the screen tight to the plywood shelf, so NO food item or lizard can get from one to the other. Creating complete separation. A zip tie was used at the zipper separation point to fix a positive point for either zipper to stop at and not allow overzipping to the other cage. This setup is completely enclosed so even small crickets and such can not excape. Anyhow this is how I used the extra space the Bearded Dragon was not using.

I just dont see the split the way you have it Titan, to be good for a pure cham set-up. I would surely run into complications with drainage and lighting. I am thinking that a seperate cage is the only option. I dont want to "half ass" it. But I do really appriciate you taking the time to respond and post the great pictures.

I will use Osang's old cage the 18"x18"36" for the other cham till he needs a larger cage. I just was hoping the 260 would be large enough to split vertically. I guess I have an excuse to have 2 260's in the future! *scratches head* "I think I need a bigger room"

I think horizontally would be better anyways. It would just basically be 2 smaller cages, as if you stacked them on top. I use a garbage bag under my reptarium to help with the water issue and you could do the same. The only issue I would foresee if if you used a dripper, but you could always go through the side and attach it to the roof of the bottom cage.

Jason, is that a plant cut into the bottom of the first. I dont see the base of it coming through the top of the bottom cage though, so Im curious as to what it is .

Since he is using the bottom one for a dragon he only needs sticks, not plants. All the plants are on the top. If you look closely you will see the pots.

As for the chameleons, 2 cages.....the smaller cage will work great until 6-9 months. If it is a female they manage in smaller cages just fine, at least for awhile.
