Special Moment!

OMG! I am so happy! Amy has willingly walked out of her cage onto my hand for the first time since she was small! I had some carrot in the palm of my hand and was holding it out to her and she walked across her cage to my hand, climbed on and walked up my arm! :D I was totally amazed! This is the first time she has done this in about 4 months (since she got hissy at 6 months old) - she usually needs some edible kind of bribery to leave her cage, so this is a real breakthru for us!:D:D:D Just had to share this special moment with people who understand!

:D That is such an amazing moment, when they finally trust you enough to come to you. I`m so chuffed for you and little Amy she obviously feels very loved and secure. :D

Yeah! It was a great feeling! She isn't a 'nasty' cham but has been a bit hissy for the last four months or so, which made this moment really special for me!:D

It is an incredible feeling I agree. Santos was a really big boy the first time he came out to me on his own too. He loved it while I was a ball of nerves.... worrying about dropping him and about what those claws were doing to my face as he clambered up my face.... regardless I was bursting with pride.

Well done. Enjoy.

Thats awesome I am so happy for you! That break through moment is always a memorable one! Enjoy your time with Amy!

Congrats! That sounds really exciting!

The closest Pan has ever come to voluntarily climbing on me was when I dropped a roach in his plant and he ran over my hand to get to it... I haven't got him on my hand for food again though...

Tiff i am so happy for your well deserved accomplishment. You have the patience of a Saint with your babies. I could use a dose of your patience. You and Amy will always be special together just like you and Tommy. Congratulations.

She did it again! This time I was walking past her cage and she was sat at the front looking out. When she saw me she stood up on her back legs and started to scratch at the door! She was so desperate to come out that she nearly fell off the branch when I opened the door! Either she is done with being a teenager and has settled down again (at last) or she has realised that Tommy is around and wants to 'play'!!:D

Thats great Tiff :D Im so glad Amy is showing signs of settling down after growing into adult hood.

Peanut doesnt do it anymore sadly, but did during her 'exploring' phase while looking for a boyfriend and before laying
