so cal expo

so i just had a thought. wouldnt chams and stuff get super stressed out at an expo with all the traffic going through?

Animals at shows don't seem to show very much stress coloration. Some do more than others, of course. But this is a short time and a short experience that doesn't seem to affect the overall health of the animal. I have taken home 'show' animals and you'd never have known they were at a show in the following days. Sure, a cage at a show with people walking by, then a new home and owner is stressful, but the animals seem to get over it. The hope is that people who sell chameleons house them correctly at the shows and the experience is forgotten by the animal in a couple of days.

I agree, it does seem stressful to some and isn't always 'ideal' conditions. We as keepers just need to show our pets the best we can and hope others do as well.

summoner, are you gonna be at the expo? i want to get a mist system, and thought that it would save money on either shipping or gas if you were gonna be there.

I am planning to be there, if not, we could always meet up. I work in Ontario, CA, near the airport. :)

thats cool. ontario airport is only like 15 minutes from me, so if youre not at the expo, maybe we can meet up sometime. i probably wont have the funds available till early january though.
