It depends on the breeders who attend. Again, you want to purchase from one with a solid reputation. This may interest you. https://chameleonsonly.com/pages/upcoming-showsI was also thinking about going to the reptile show in Pamona to find one. Is that a good idea, or bad?
The thing about the shows is that you can end up with "breeders" there that do not keep their chams clean, housed, or fed properly. You can end up with a chameleon that has MBD, a respiratory infection, or even a parasite load. All of these are nightmares for a first time keepers. And a parasite load can mean stripping a cage down and losing money on what you put in. But the vet care for chameleons is often more expensive. Then there is trying to medicate a chameleon. For a new keeper this can be very very stressful.I was also thinking about going to the reptile show in Pamona to find one. Is that a good idea, or bad?
Unfortunately, technology's not quite there with LED UVB lights, yet. Your best bet is to go with an Arcadia 6%, the bulbs last for a year. Where as the zoomed bulbs only last for 6 months, you end up saving money with the Arcadia brand.Do UVB Led lights work?
Hi did you already find one ?I am looking for juvenile male panther chameleon in Orange County/surrounding area. My daughter is getting the enclosure and other necessary items for the build out on Christmas, so the goal would be to go buy one with her on Dec 26th or later.
