Sleep with eyes open?

Do chameleons ever sleep with their eyes open?

ya, when they're awake lol... but no, not that i know of.

why do you ask? the first thing that came to mind was maybe wasnt quite dark enough and the eyes opened up. when that happens they dont tend to move and will stay in the same spot and try to sleep

My little guys lights were off when I came home, but my room was dark so I turned on my light and went to check on him to make sure he was asleep but saw that his eyes were open a bit but didn't look like they were all they way open and they weren't moving and neither was he. I just wanted to see if this was normal, because when I come home late and then on my light his eyes always stay closed
