So he was super light green this morning while tending to him before I left and there was a lighter patch... it Doesn’t look irritated at all just lighter ... no other color variation outta his norm ?

my husband and I are building this .. I made the rookie mastake of getting the kit and threw everything out after watching Neptune the chameleon ??‍

Just keep an eye on it. It does not look severe if that is what it is. Make sure he can not get close the the heat light. What wattage are you using and how close can he get?

This is great. Make sure the wood is sealed so it is water proof

His basking light is 55watt.. and the other is a t5 ho not sure of the wattage off the top of my head ... it’s what I found while learning with Neptune the chameleon utube videos

So it looks like that top branch is quite close... What bulb strength did you buy for the T5? Personally I use 60 watt regular incandescent bulbs and I have a full 10 inch drop to basking. This ensures that I do not have a thermal burn risk. If your using one of the focused heat basking bulbs they can be quite intense the closer you are to them.

Ok I just put that branch there yesterday so that will be coming down and yes the bulb is focused on basking and it sits higher in the fixture ... so I would switch to a house bulb? I wasn’t sure what kind to get

Yep you want to switch that out to a regular incandescent 60 watt bulb. just make sure it is not the LED kind.

Per distance to basking for the UVB> which uvb strength did you get?

It’s a 55 watt
