Say What?!?

I have never seen either of my guys on the floor at all, for any reason!

That is a bit odd!!

Smeagol, my veiled cham, has a favorite spot for sleeping (and everything else for that matter!!).
He gets to the middle and back of the cage.

I think he knows he will get sprayed in the morning, so he doesnt want to get a face full of water at 5:30am (very rude way to wake up!!)

wow you wake them up that early?

I have no choice!! I cover them at night, then take it off in the morning and mist my veiled, turn their drippers on.
Their lights are programed to come on at 7am, and I dont mist my jacksons that early because his cage is on a MistKing.

Soon I will have them all on the MistKing and all I will have to do is take their covers off and turn the drippers on.

They can still sleep until 7 ;)

That can't be it. Teenage girls never have attitude problems.

HA! :)

It is odd! He's still a baby, so he doesn't have a "designated" sleeping spot yet.

My Veiled sleeps in the exact same spot every night! In the past 4 months I've seen him sleep somewhere different only one time. And that worried me! He didn't start doing that until he became a full grown adult. They seem to find a comfy spot and stick to it.

Oh and just so everyone knows.. Loki is alive and well! His night on the floor was just him being quirky. Lol. He's back to sleeping in the plants. He's eating well, drinking, and basking. Mommies can always tell when something is wrong with their babies. We're born with it. So sleeping on the floor will just end up being one of those funny Chameleon stories, as suspected. Thanks for your concern though. :)

my little dude will literally fall asleep wherever he is when the lights go out. Maybe he's cruising down to find a cooler temp at night? Mine is a jackson, so when he goes to sleep I basically put him in the refrigerator.

Loki is gorgeous! I love that 'ticked off' photo - he has so much red! :D

The child is extremely jealous of the chameleon...that's how. My daughter says she refuses to believe the chameleons exist, they are nothing to her, she will not discuss them, look at them, let her friends look at them.

My kids don't care for Monty or my crested geckos either. My son is 19 and my daughter is almost 16. Her bf thinks they lizards are cool and I see her cringing whenever he shows an interest. The scaley pets are referred to as 'stupid lizards' by my children. My hubby though, does share my passion - he loves Monty and will happily get him or the cresties out and hold them, but he doesn't like feeding them though! :D

You know, in all the years Ive kept chameleons, my wife has never actually held one! she feeds them if she doesnt have to touch the food and doesnt mind watering them or cleaning their cages but she refuses point blank to hold them. She just doesnt understand them, apart from being able to pick the best coloured ones out when suprising me with a new "gift", lol.
