My daughter is 17...I've had chameleons since she was 14. It's possibly a hormone issue...
That can't be it. Teenage girls never have attitude problems.

I have never seen either of my guys on the floor at all, for any reason!
That is a bit odd!!
Smeagol, my veiled cham, has a favorite spot for sleeping (and everything else for that matter!!).
He gets to the middle and back of the cage.
I think he knows he will get sprayed in the morning, so he doesnt want to get a face full of water at 5:30am (very rude way to wake up!!)
wow you wake them up that early?

The child is extremely jealous of the chameleon...that's how. My daughter says she refuses to believe the chameleons exist, they are nothing to her, she will not discuss them, look at them, let her friends look at them.
My kids don't care for Monty or my crested geckos either. My son is 19 and my daughter is almost 16. Her bf thinks they lizards are cool and I see her cringing whenever he shows an interest. The scaley pets are referred to as 'stupid lizards' by my children. My hubby though, does share my passion - he loves Monty and will happily get him or the cresties out and hold them, but he doesn't like feeding them though!
