safe plants for my cham

I bought this the other day.( bonsai schefflera from my local home depot. It looked very similar to a regular umbrella tree.
Would this work fine for my cham? and do i have to re-pot this? and if so into what? organic soil? not really sure whats the best thing to do. help!

Yeah that looks to be a fine plant. I myself am going plant shopping for my chams today 2 Schefflera and hopeully a ficus tree!
