Rambo has allways fired up when I take pictures of him. I thought it was just the phone ( It is black )but yesterday I had on a black glove and tried to feed him a dubia,he went crazy and flew up the cage, went full blown color and was hissing and gaping! I felt so bad that I didn't even think about taking pictures as he never looked so good. I know some colors set off chams and I guess one of his is BLACK :(

red as well. Black does get them pretty pissed off though. I tried to use my leather gloves with Ripley, she went apeshit on me. Then I got white snake handling glove, and she doesn't mind it at all.
I have my old green brazil hoodie lying next to the vivs for when I need to handle the chams:D

That sounds so wierd to me about the color thing, it that a panther trait or is that with any cham.......my veiled never cares what color I have on or any color around him.

NOT SURE WHY SOME CHAMS JUST DON'T LIKE SOME COLORS, BUT i HAVE SEEN IT WITH OTHER SPECIES AS WELL???

My adult male veiled Kink hates green. I had green nails and he refused to come near me. I changed the color, he was back to normal.

Kuzco hates red and blue but loves pink and purple. Maybe its an association thing for him bc I always have pink or purple on

Steve, what's with the glove? Pick that baby roly poly up and offer it to Rambo and the girls! ;)

My guys don't seem to care about any color as long as food is being offered!

It was not a baby but an adult that was dying from the transition I guess ??? and he was a big ugly sucker!!! :D I have handled everything from my 20 foot python (Francis ) to Scorpions but the adult dubia just don't do it for me :o

My guys won't eat the big ones either, I just use them for breeding. Try the small to medium ones. It may take them a bit to realize that even though they're not crickets they are yummy. Sometimes placing them on the branch a few inches in front of them works better than trying to hand feed them, at least for me it does. :)
