Quad T5 Just tried to catch on fire.....

Ok, so yes now I am in total agreement about not ordering these!!! Put in my 3 day light bulbs and my arcadia to make sure everything worked and one of the daylight bulbs started sparking inside on the end then caught on fire inside the tube and burned a hole through the bulb. I turned off immediately... It all happened within maybe 30 seconds...


So I need T5HO recommendations. I am now down to 2 daylight bulbs and a 12% arcadia bulb... I know I may have to go down to a lower level UVB output bulb depending on what fixture I get...


But I need recommendations on fixtures... Links would be even better. I need a 48 inch fixture.

Thank you. They are out of stock on the UVB option but that is ok. I will have to probably go with a zoomed bulb temporarily. Arcadia are sold out everywhere.

Ok the vivosun quad is huge!!! 13 inches deep and heavy... sending it back and going with the vivarium electronics singles... I’m an idiot and should have done them in the first place.. that will teach me not to listen to our moderator :hilarious: @Decadancin

Well guess what fixture Im not using in my garage overnight anymore!!!

It was pretty freaky... Burned a whole straight through the bulb and I only had it plugged in for maybe 30 seconds. I have the 30 inch as well. Have not had an issue like that with it but the display panel is all messed up. I am going to go ahead and work on switching this one out as well. Have to wait for the refunds to come back to my account for both of the quads though lol. So much for my "budget".
