Potential mouth rot?

Hey guys! My little buddy has some strange signs on both sides of his mouth, and browsing many forums it seems like mouth rot. What is your impression, can it be treated at home or should I definitely go to the vet?

Not recently, about one month and a half ago. I was also thinking about something stuck in his mouth, but how can I make sure if something is stuck, and how can I get it out?

You can try using a q-tip to see if it will come off.

You might be right, when I tried to move the piece with q-tip it was able to move it, but I have no idea how to 'force' him to open his mouth. When I put the q-tip too close to his mouth, he tries to bite it

That’s great news! Sometimes shed can get stuck generally anywhere on them so getting stuck in the mouth area is possible. So does the mouth area look normal now that it’s come off? Did it come off on the other side too?

Yes, came off both sides. And it also looks good.
