Lol, your buddy doesn’t know what he’s doing either then. It’s all an optical illusion. I’m sure you’ve seen what happens when you put a pencil in a glass of water, appears broken due to light refraction. Your target is actually higher than where your eyes are telling you it is. You have to compensate for this by aiming above where ever the fish looks like it is. The deeper and further away the fish is the higher you have to aim.

Or you can just cheat like me and put a laser sight on your bow! Lol

Figured it out when he couldn't hit sh!$. Loving the laser sight idea. Would be a kick to try and hit a salmon with a bow when they're running up the river.
