I am actually concerned about the size of him compared to his enclosure. He is in an 18x18x36... he is just so tiny!!

I'm glad that he made is safely. I'll looking forward to seeing him grow up.

That's a big cage. Just make sure that he's eating and drinking.

Congratulations! He sure is adorable! That was quite a long journey he had - looks great!

Deb

He's such a cutie, and I love the name! Good luck with him - that's the size I start my little ones out in, but I cup feed, and keep a close eye on them. :D

Hmm... when I came home after work yesterday and right now during lunch he has been at the bottom of the enclosure where there's nothing. He is just walking around, he isn't hurt or sleeping or anything. Hopefully he is walking down and not falling  I picked him up VERY GENTLY lol and now he's in his bin eating some crickets :D

I've said it like 100 times already but I still can't get over how TINY he is!!! He is the smallest and youngest chameleon I've owned and it's a little freighting and new.

He was probably just exploring. Have you tried cup feeding or are you just feeding him in a baby bin? I still feed mine either in a baby bin or a small outside enclosure. They can really tear up some crickets. I'd say more than a dozen a day per baby. :D

I see the babys cruising along the bottom of the cage at times. They go to the bottom.. walk across and climb back up. They are just exploring.

He will grow very fast and fill that 18x36 cage up before you know it! Don't be surprised if he seems to double in size over the next month.

Thanks for the replies :) I was sure everything was okay:rolleyes: It's like a jungle in there for him right now!

I have just been feeding him in the baby bin but I think I am going to stop that today, for at least a few days so he can settle in by himself without me bothering him. I don't want to push my luck and make him forever  with me lol

He should be fine in that size cage. I too have had some very small veileds and they seem to do fine in a bigger cage. They have such big appetites, they will always find the food.

Recently I too have a baby cham and he loves to explore the bottom. I too thought this was a bit strange because usually it is a sign of illness or eggs present but neither of these were the case and he was just checking the floor out. After a week or two, he stopped going down there.

6-11 Pics

Just a couple shots from today:D My room setup for the boys, him this afternoon eating in his baby bin (it isn't dirty I promise, just stained) and one from just a minute ago this evening. I was watching him cruise all around and he stopped to bask lol.
I promise to get better pictures soon - these are just quick with my phone.

Oh my!
He is wonderful! How could you manage the shipping? How long did it take?
I wish you and your precious all the best!
It is so good to know there is such a sweet little guy so close to us! :)
Share more pics in the future! :)

He was shipped overnight to me from FL. Poor little guy was in transit for about 17 hours total, but he made it safe and sound!!
Tomorrow he will be exactly 2 months old.

Finally got to take him oustside for some sun! It has been so cloudy and icky here the last two weeks!

Just look at the blue in his neck! :D
