Pics like that infuriate me. When I setup at shows,I try not to look around at some of the other vendors unless I know them. This is the show promoters fault for allowing animals that are sick and put in with other adults in poor conditions. Some of these shows have vets checking out the animals. Amazing.

Im having a hard time IDing the first cham. I havent seen any Kinyongia multituberculata females in person. I have seen a few in pics though. I have seen a few Kinyongia tavetana in person though. The rostral appendage makes me want to say multituberculata but the color pattern makes me want to say Kinyongia tavetana which I have seen a few females in person. I have seen them with smaller rostral appendages and some with smaller.
I can say for sure Kinyongia but am going to go with tavetana. This is a guess

I wish I could have brought them all home but they would have been no better off with me. \
The thing that bothered me ( and I know nothing about bigger chams) was they all seemed so dry.
Some one help me out here? I know they Mellers look dry and beat up. How would you know which ones were healthier ( for lack of a better word)
One had its eyes closed and did not move much but the other two were wide eyed and all over the place. I would eventually like to get some of these buy ( many many months down the road) but it is never too late to start researching.

Kearth, I didn't mean to imply you infuriated me. The sad state these chameleons are in pisses me off. I think its good to post pics at shows to let people know what to stay away from. Mellers need plenty of water. Do yourself a favor and stay away from that vendor. Even if a few appear healthy,they are not. There are plenty of people on this forum that are breeding Mellers,so get a nice healthy baby.

I def would not buy one from him. I know when the time comes I will be looking on here for one.
I use to keep veileds and then my frog obsession too over.
There is always a ton of bad examples of what not to buy at shows. Which makes it really nice when you see one of the good ones.
OMG, they look horrible. Sometimes I think it's better not too buy them out of sympathy. If no one buys them from this vendor s/he may not get them in again for sale. It's kind of like feeling sorry for sick pathetic puppy mill dogs at some pet stores. If people buy them (for whatever reason), the store makes money and will bring in more. It's really tough to pass them by though.

I try not to support the WC pet trade but some times I have to with some of the frogs I breed. I know chams are a whole different ball game.
The guy that has them ALWAYS has them. I know when he left that day he still had the same 3. Makes me wonder how many he gets and how many he actually sells.
