Pez - not tracking food well

Pez started closing one eye on Tuesday morning. I called the vet and got an appointment a few hours later, during their lunch. I came in, she was 126 grams (had been 150 grams the last time we were at the vet, 5 weeks after laying 66 eggs), so she had lost weight, and she would be approximately 50 days from laying eggs at this time. The vet felt 2 eggs in her. She didn't see anything in her eyes, checked her mouth and said she was a little pale. We looked at food, food's food and determined that temps/eating/etc were all good. Vet suggested shortening her day a little, but otherwise the temp/etc was all good. She thought that a Vitamin A shot (with D3) would be a good idea, so we did that. She didn't like it of course... Vet suggested us not holding her often, as she thought that maybe touching of her could induce ovulation. I am not sure if that is true, but she generally doesn't want us to hold her (until she goes around "courting", so touching=ovulation doesn't seems so strange in that light). But anytime we open the cage, she seems to want to get to us, and is seeming to want us to hold her. She will sometimes just circle the same area over and over, so it seems really strange.

She ate 2 dubai roaches on Tuesday, and has not eaten since.
She has gone a few days without eating in the past, sometimes I think maybe a roach bit her so she doesn't eat for a day or two.

But she's been acting funny, and it seems like she wants to eat, but can't find the food for some reason.
I got this video and hope it helps shed some light on what I am seeing.
This video was yesterday early afternoon.

Please help me. I feel that something is wrong and I want to help her. She was born Nov 2020, so she's about 2 1/2 years old.

Today she is staying at the top of the cage, but she seems like she is feeling her way around. She is not tracking food right now.
She is a little dehydrated I think, so we are trying to get her to drink.

Her egg laying schedule (the number in the third column is the number of days between this current lay, and the one before. With decreasing the temp and the food, we are lessening the eggs and extending the days between).

If you are within driving distance to Huston, Gulf Coast is excellent with chameleons.

Goodness, Houston is about 4 hours from me. Grapevine is closest it looks like. How is that one rated? And they are only Monday-Friday. They recommend their neighbor for 24 hour care. ""Our sister location, the Animal Emergency Hospital of North Texas (AEHNT), helps us provide the very best care for our patients. With 24-hour critical care and monitoring, we ensure that your pet is receiving the best care possible, day and night.""

Texas Avian & Exotic Hospital. It's run by Dr. Lauren Thielen from the TV show Dr. K's Exotic Animal ER on NatGeo WILD.

For that though, I have to wait until they are open on Monday. I don't know that I have till Monday.....
That emergency hospital does have some chameleon knowledge.

Dr. Greg Moore of Southlake Animal Hospital also sees a lot of chameleons but not sure if he’s open today.

He closes in 15 minutes, so I am not even sure I can get in the door before he closes.

Have you not been using. A vitamin powder twice a month that contains a prEfromed source of vitamin A?

There is definitely something strange going on with her. Not sure what it is. I’m not a vet…BTW.

Also…I’m concerned she could be heading towards egg binding or follicular stasis Because she’s dropping eggs after the normal laying And because she’s producing fare too many eggs. You need to put her on the “diet” and temperature regime we put veiled females on to prevent these issues….but first you need to get her through this issue.

It also appears that you are not giving her the D3 often enough so unless she’s getting direct sunlight (not through glass or plastic) or very good UVB from a UVB light…shes not going to be absorbing enough calcium for her bones and egg shells. What uvb bulb are you using. Is it the long linear? are you changing it as recommended?

Calcium +D3 is twice a month normally.

She's had the lowered temps and lowered feeding for almost two years now, so how else do I prevent so many eggs??

Dropping eggs after a normal laying, what do you mean?

And no, the roaches are eating vitamin a, she doesn't get any. It's never been in the vitamins I've given, or been told to give her.
