Panther chameleon sexing

Hello everyone, I am an avid chameleon lover and have a total of five Chameleons that I love and care for. I received number 6 today from someone who found out it way more difficult to care for than he thought. I have a Veiled that I raised from a babay and is now 2 1/2 years. I also have a male and female Jackson’s and 2 Graceful’s. This is my first panther and would like to see what everyone thinks the sex may be. Thanks to everyone who makes this a great forum for information

Why do you say it’s a joke. It is not a joke. I have no experience with panthers. I am just asking sex and maybe what kind of panther it is.

As old as it is if you did any research before hand you would know the answer that’s why it seems like a joke

The person that had it was going to bring it to the shelter today. I could absolutely not allow this happen. This was a last minute effort to save it from going to them. And yes if this was a planned buy I always do my research. I love and care for all my Chameleons tremendously. I just recently lost my female veiled. I spent over 400 dollars in vet costs. I do not just leave them in there cage to watch and not care weather they live or die. I take care of my Chameleons as if they are part of my family. My Chameleons go with me most everywhere, trips to the store, pet stores, grocery store, etc. I find it offensive that I ask a question and you respond it as if it was a joke, especially without hearing the whole story.

It's definitely a male panther, to answer your question. I assume members thought this was a joke because it's generally understood that male panthers are much more colorful than females but there are certain locales of females that can be quite colorful too.
I also think your mentioning of being an experienced chameleon keeper threw members off a bit.. just my .02:)

Maybe you are correct, I should have mentioned the whole story first, my bad on that one. This just came up this morning thru a friend. He wanted to know if I could save it. Like I mentioned I have never had a panther. I am now in the process of raising 50 baby veiled Chameleons so I have my hands full at the moment. Even with all that I had to save this guy. Sorry, I did not mean to stir the pot with everyone. My apologies.

Getting Marley settled into his cage. He seems to be non aggressive and very social. I am just leaving him to hiself for awhile to let him get settled in. Thanks for all the help peeps.

Yes it’s very addicting, this will make Chameleon # 6. The great part is my wife is just as in love with Chameleons as I am. This is something we both enjoy doing together.

1. 1 Male veiled -
2. 1 Make Jackson
3. 1 female Jackson
4. 2 Graceful’s
5. 1 Male panther (new addition)

OH forgot to add, 40 plus baby veiled

Hello, most all have either been giving away, sold, and the rest already promised. We have a Jackson (FLO) that is should be dropping her young very shortly. One of my favorite breeds to own.

He is very beautiful and what a long tail!
I also thought he had a very long tail. I am NEW to the panther breed, is that abnormal for the long tail. Also, can someone tell me what breed Panther he is may be. I think he may be in the Ambilobe family but not sure what type. I would like to use him as a sire down the road at some point as I really love his colors. Once again thanks in advance for any and all info....

Jim
