Panther Chameleon Sex?

Hit everyone first post, just got my first chameleon from Eric at Chameleons101 advertised to be a male and forgot to ask how old. Just double checking! What sex and age does my chameleon seem to be? Dude eats like a champ and drinking well

Welcome to the forum. You will want to ask your breeder how old it is... a good breeder knows their hatch dates. We would be guessing as a lot influences their growth rate from how many feeders they were given to genetics. Also with your images we need something in them like a hand or the full cage and knowing the cage size to reference how large the cham actually is. But it would still be a guess.

As far as gender I am not seeing any bulge at the tail base which would indicate a female. Coloring being peach is also a sign of a female. As males are the ones that get the bright colors. Females stay a peach or nude color and will get a hue of color sometimes on their cheeks. Then when they go receptive and gravid their coloring changes based on this phase. you can see black with peach or orange when gravid.

For sure thanks guys, sucks it wasn't what was advertised, I had a vet check it out yesterday his assessment was similar. I'm glad to be in the forums though. Time to take care of this lil feller

Thank you everyone, Ima take great care of her, I just had a second one shipped to me, being said a male to makeup for the misidentification on the first lil lady. What does this one seem to be?

Do not quote me about this one. However I am not spotting a hemipenile bulge. I think you have got another female Furcifer pardalis.

I should not of been reading this while taking a sip of coffee, was not expecting that zinger at the end and it made me laugh and coffee come out my nose. I am around a half century old and never heard that before.
