Out of date, incomplete, or wrong?

You may have had a run in with a potential one this morning! That thread was hilarious! Like a soap opera...defiantly popcorn worthy.

OMG last night you mean. That was a rodeo, that dude is still up in my DMs, screaming at me, about how all kinds of people are telling him me and salty are crazzy and they will loan him a Cham.....

Seems very possible. He joined in 2016 and never posted, till asking for a loaner Cham.......

It sure is.

I'm saying, up the requirements to post in Classifieds. If they are going to come here to sell at least make them participate first.
If you were a socialist, wouldn’t you be freely sharing your males?

“To each according to his needs, from each according to his ability.” Isn’t that how Karl Marx put it? Lol ignorant bastard...

You mean when they breath in and say " D3 will kill your cham, its only a matter of time" and then they breath out and say D3 twice a month?

Nope, it's don't use it today.

Before D3 was available chameleons only lived a year or so in captivity. It was a game changer. Is it overused probably but that doesn't mean ditch it just be judicious in it's use.

Someone didn't tell them.

I don’t think they are saying to totally ditch D3, just how it’s provided. I believe they advocate getting it all from lighting, not supplements. That was one of my run ins with them.

Ya, but it doesn't work like that. Unless your Cham is getting outside time.

Anyways less than 24 hours and I already ran into it. This isn't CC there stupidity is spreading to other groups.

I’m confused at what she’s saying? I thought calcium without d3 should be given daily? Help my head hurts trying to understand her post

Its ok, between the sarcasm and tongue in cheek of this thread, im a little lost too. I take many things literally :p

"when i nod my head, you hit it with a hammer"

Ok....

I suggest as Treatment to find yourselves, you guys spend the day on the FB groups, helping and answering questions. Preferably on Chameleon Central.

I don't know from this what species she is talking about so tough to judge. Ideally your lighting would do this but lighting isn't ideal and we've been covering ourselves by giving D3. She's probably right that most people give too much but I wouldn't drop it entirely unless I had a UVB meter, stellar gut load and some outdoor time. D3 does have to be used cautiously and not caked onto feeders. There are members here who do not supplement on the advise of their veterinarian but they are in southern states and monitor their chameleons religiously. I think starting out you need the crutch supplements including D3 until you can meet all the requirements but she has D3 in the multi so...

She is giving D3 in the multivitamin if you are giving it this way more would be overdosing. She going the same place but in a different way. It is simpler this way.
There was a school of thought that you shouldn't give D3 or calcium at the same time as the vitamins because of absorption issues. No real evidence either way that I know of in chameleons.

True except calcium deposits in the organs damaging them but she is on track.
I don't have a problem with this it's just another way of skinning the same old cat.
