Noooo.Saying tearful goodbyes to Porcini. This last clutch, and the pain from her injury, have been too much for her. I am thankful to have been home this week to spend time with her and sit outside.
I have no illusions of being a chameleon whisperer - but Porcini is the third chameleon I’ve lost who became extremely clingy in her final hours. Desi, Donnie, and now Porcini - all very social, very special creatures. They all reached for me to pick them up and refused to leave… maybe they trust I will keep them safe, quiet and comfortable. Maybe they are saying goodbye. Idk, but they are heartbreakingly bittersweet moments that help me to come to terms with goodbye. So many people don’t understand grieving a pet that is not the standard dog or cat…. Grief comes from a place of love and there are no limits to love.![]()

He looks great! Lots of white!! I wish I had another female ready now to send your way. I think theirs some sisters to mine floating around, I’ll poke around..Ecstatic to share that the only male from my original clutch of babies, has returned to live with me! He has spent the past ~5 years living with a good friend, and I am so happy to have the chance to spend time with him again. He and his sister Porky turned 5 this month!!
I wish I had an opportunity to breed him. We tried but the KB I found were imported so young, they failed to thrive. He has the most gorgeous color. He looks like the other males at times, but most of the time he has this beautiful white color, even when it is cool. (They normally whiten up when its hot). He may be too old for kids, but if anyone comes across a female of age, let me know!!!
