only dark in cage

My panther is just about a year.for the last month if he's awake he want to be in his outside cage or just be out of his main enclosure.the set up is pretty close to ideal.. he used to love it.In the morning he's dark, scraping the screen and waiting to get out. Once he's out colors good, he eats and drinks and is calm. Is this the teenage stage? any advice?

Congratulations on spoiling your chameleon. My Nosy Be is the same way. He is only happy doing human things. Once they get a taste, for free ranging......

Might want to try a larger enclosure.

Otherwise, just as junglefries said, that's pretty much the way it's gonna be...

There could be a reason he's like that--maybe he's scared of something inside the enclosure. But that's doubtful if he liked it before and there are no changes.
