In a small cricket keeper with a strand of fake vine. I have that inside of the smallest cage you can get from lllreptile.I have a 5.0 uvb on top of the cage and a 40 watt house bulb. Im not sure of the size. Actually I went to purchase the cage from this guy and he had this little guy in his office. I made him an offer and he took it. If this is incorrect please please please let me know. Also How do I supplement a baby??

No!! I wish!! But it did just hatch today.....

I hope it makes it I know they can die very easy. He/she is very active its climbing all over that little piece of branch in there. Its not even an inch long. I didnt realize that they where THAT small!!:p

Screameleons has a perfect example on their website. DIY baby cages.

BB fruit flies are the cheapest way to raise a baby chameleon. Too easy to breed them. Unless u are already breeding crickets, i would buy BB fruit flies from our site sponsor.

The fruit flies are easy to dust. Just tap some into a cup that already has a sprinkle of sup. powder. shake a few times in circles then dump em in the baby cage.

you should release 7-10 at a time cuz the fruit flies climb out.

you NEED leaves that it can drink off of!

i just added some fake leaves....!! Should I get fruit flies from petco while waiting for mine to come in the mail?? It should be like 2 days....The guy I got him from said it might not eat for a couple of days is this true??

I would definitely pick up some flies while they wait. He's a baby. 2 days is alot of food for such a small body.

Did he do the same thing that you are doing with getting a single egg and hatching it?

No he was a breeder and is selling off all his cham stuff....The cage and bought and this baby where the only cham related things he had left. The egg was a very late bloomer:p Which Im hoping will make him stronger.

Here is what I would do.

Glad to hear you got some more fake plants for it to drink off of. Since you only have one I would recommend getting a small pothos and clipping a few of the vines off it. Rotate the vines each day leaving the unused ones in a cup of water by a window. This will help keep the humidity up in the kritter keeper and the water droplets stay on real leaves much longer. I would also take the keeper out of the cage. Im afraid the UVB wouldnt be powerful enough to penetrate the screen and then to the bottom of the cage:eek: Set your light so it is hovering a few inches above the container, not directly on it or covering the whole container, just part. You want as much airflow as possible. Make sure it can get out of the lights beams and has a cooler spot it can go to. Monitor the temps so its not getting too hot and keep it well hydrated. The few clutches of panthers I raised none would eat untill at least day 3. None would eat FFs at all. Make sure you have some pins just in case. I would recommend getting it on crix as soon as possible. You can gutload them much more than FFs. REMEMBER gutload is KEY!!!!! I wouldnt supplement for quite a few weeks. I didnt supp my tavs untill one month but then I would like to think I have a good gutloading regimen;)

when my dripper was busted i put ice cubes on the top of the screen to drip as it melted
