I know there are a lot of different views on gut loading the feeders. And this is simple what we have found most successful, and what simple works for us. First thing in the morning we separate the amount of crickets feeders we need for the for the day from the rest of the colony, typically around 450-500. We will then add sliced oranges, apples, and different greens such as Kale and Collards, and allow them to feed for an hour or so, and then feed them to the Chameleons right after. Just believe this to be the best option for the health of our Chams. If you gut load a whole colony of feeders just be sure not to leave the rotting food in their container, with a whole colony if there is anything left over with fresh food you are probable adding to much, try cutting back to the point of which the food is consumed completely before it becomes rotten.
