Not enough uvb?

Hello, I have a reptisun uvb light and a heating light on top of my chameleons cage.

Naturally, he has been going under the heat lamp to bask. However I've been getting a little worried about the amount of uvb he's getting.

He sits directly under the heat lamp or crawls on the top of the cage so he's hanging directly under the lamp. I turn off the heat lamp sometimes because it seems that he never really goes under the uvb. Whenever I do this though he is unhappy.

I don't know what to do, because it seems like so many chameleon owners have two bulbs just like I do so I don't know if this is a big problem. It just seems like I'm choosing between his health/happiness. Suggestions are welcomed!

If you use a long list eart tube UVB light it will cover more area and you can make it so it's near the heat light so he can get heat and UVB at the same time. Is he still in the same room? Had he stopped sleeping during the day? What's the temperature in his cage? Have you stopped spraying water into his mouth to make sure he won't aspirate it?

Ok thanks! Took him to the vet and he got an x ray. The vet said his lungs look clear but gave me baytril due to the symptoms I told her. I gave it to him for 10 days and he has improved a lot. No more sleeping during the day and back to eating :) I will look into the tube uvb! Thank you

Is your UVB in a dome or tube style??? If you are worried about him getting UVB. Take him outside for awhile. Natural UVB is the best!!
Dome, but I will look into tube style. I've been taking him out when it's sunny also. Thanks!
