Chameleon Info:
Cage Info:
Current Problem - laz, my Male panther cham has been eating significantly less recently, the past two weeks I would say.
He is very picky what i give him and will only eat superworms right away, mainly leaving the dubia and crickets alone.
- Your Chameleon - Ambanja panther chameleon, he is a Male, I've had him for around 3 months which makes him about 7 months old I believe.
- Handling - How often do you handle your chameleon?
- I handle him maybe twice a week sometimes three times. Not every day.
- Feeding - What are you feeding your cham? What amount? What is the schedule? How are you gut-loading your feeders?
- I feed him crickets, dubia, superworms, the occasional hornworm. He has also has had a few black soldier fly larvae and silkworms. I feed in the morning, usually before noon. I gutload with several different types, on a schedule provided to me by Matt vanilla gorilla.
- Supplements - What brand and type of calcium and vitamin products are you dusting your feeders with and what is the schedule?
- Gutloading schedule will be posted below.
- Watering - What kind of watering technique do you use? How often and how long to you mist? Do you see your chameleon drinking?
- I have a mister set to go off multiple times a day, the mister is set to go off 4 times throughout the day with two times at 30-45 seconds and one for 1 minute. I also mist for an extended period of time atleast once a week for a good shower, I also mist with a hand mister to get my plants well.
- I also have a humidifier set to go on at night from 11:30 to 3.
- Fecal Description - Briefly note colors and consistency from recent droppings. Has this chameleon ever been tested for parasites?
- His poops seem all about the same, usually brownish with a white urate attached and a pretty consistent size aswell.
- History - Any previous information about your cham that might be useful to others when trying to help you.
- Nothing in particular, he just recently started to slow down his eating. About two weeks ago. He really only has been liking to eat the superworms and has been leaving the crickets and dubia pretty much untouched.
- I also recently within the last month turned down the misting schedule a bit because some plants were dieing from to much water.
