Hello all, I'm Caitlin!

I have a 5 almost 6 month old male veiled named Benjamin Button, but he goes by Bennie B. for short. I got him from a breeder at a reptile expo on 4/13/13. He's a particularly sassy little guy, his parents were a wild caught pair imported from Yemen so he's a bit on the smaller side since he's from a fresh bloodline (hasn't been bred to be bigger).

I also have 2 ball pythons (normal 2011 female, bumblebee 2012 male) and a rescued beagle with a whole bunch of issues.. but i love her anyway :p

Welcome to the Chameleon Forums and congrats on that little cutie! That's certainly a small one and looks to be around 2 to 3 months old. I keep veileds and they are very rewarding chameleons with the best personalities. I have a blog for new keepers that you should find helpful attached below. It shows you everything you need with links to pictures and where you can buy each item. I have found that most items you need for a chameleon can not be found in local pet stores. I'm looking forward to watching Bennie B grow up through pictures here on the forums.

yea he's a little runty and slow picking up weight even though he eats like a pig but the breeder did say he was 4 months old when i got him on april 13th, this thursday with be our 2 month anniversary lol.. apparently his parents were a w/c pair from yemen and he's from that pair's first clutch. someone told me that might be part of the reason he's a little guy since there wasnt any selective breeding for larger size

Don't worry, good things come in small packages!!! Congrats on your Benjamin Button and I can't wait to see him grow! It'll be interesting to see just how big he gets ;). Welcome to the forums! :)
