New to chameleons and need help

Okay so I have decided I want a chameleon I have done some research but I wanted to know everything really, I am going to be buying everything little by little I am buying my chameleon last. I just wanted to know what I need like exactly what I need to buy for them, and food requirements, I was told that they could just eat the can of crickets instead of live crickets (I am not comfortable feeding live animals). I just need to know everything I should know.

Thank you,
Have a happy early Thanksgiving.

If you look to the left of the screen and Click on "Care Resources". You will find care sheets for whatever species of chameleon you are wanting to get.

Needs for different species are unique, so make sure you know what kind you want to purchase, so you can provide a proper setup.

Unfortunately whoever told you that they could eat a can of crickets is highly mis-informed. They need live prey to survive and will only eat moving insects. So if your not comfortable feeding live insects or worms (crickets, dubia, superworms, silkworms, hornworms etc) then maybe a chameleon isnt the right pet for you.

Any chameleon can bite, from young to adult. Adults have a much stronger bite and can draw blood, depending on how good they get you. However its pretty uncommon to get bit, as they display other "warning" signs before they actually bite.
